St. Nicholas Hospital has been granted accreditation by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) to offer work placement for Nurse Interns with Bachelor degree in Nursing Science (B.N.Sc).
We believe we are the first privately owned hospital in Nigeria certified to offer practical internship to B.N.Sc nurses. This new responsibility is NMCN’s endorsement and attestation to our high clinical standards in nursing practice.
The St. Nicholas Hospital ‘Nurse Internship Program’ is the first step on the nursing career ladder/pathway to imbibe our culture of excellence and evidence based practical knowledge that will ease the transition from student to staff nurse status. They will also assume increasingly responsible roles as they gain self-confidence, competence and comfort in the clinical environment.
The mother of nursing, Florence Nightingale said; “So never lose an ortunity of urging a practical beginning, however small, for it is wonderful how often in such matters the mustard-seed germinates and roots itself”.
